RULES FOR KNOCK-OUT COMPETITIONS; LEAGUE CUP, MAYORS CUP, REFEREES CUP, MEMORIAL CUP

APPENDIX A

1.

(a) All matches shall be played in accordance with the Rules of the League in so far as they are relevant. These Competitions shall be in addition to the Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League.
(b) All matches shall be played on a knock-out basis of One game through out the Competition including the final, all matches being played to a conclusion in accordance with Appendix 1A (g). In the event of any match(es) being postponed, or abandoned, the match(es) shall be re-scheduled fourteen (14) days later, second and subsequent postponements shall be re-scheduled seven (7) days later until the match(es) are concluded.

The Management Committee shall have the right to determine the venue for any match should the Home Team’s ground be unsuitable for whatever reason.

If matches are not played to a conclusion in any Competition, Both Teams shall be removed from the Competition.
A fine not exceeding £25.00 should this occur.

(c) There shall be one Trophy awarded to each age group of the Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League, called the League Cup.

No player shall play for more than one Team in this Competition, irrespective of age group. This shall equally apply to the Referees Cup, Mayors Cup and Memorial Cup, these shall be regarded as separate Competitions.

A team playing a player who has not been registered or is otherwise ineligible, shall be fined a sum not exceeding £25 and shall be removed from the Competition.

Once a player has played for any team in any Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League Cup, Referees Cup, Mayors Cup and Memorial Cup, he shall remain registered to that Team for the remainder of the season in that particular Cup Competition in all age groups. Subject to transfer Rule 8(J).
(d) (i) When carrying out the draw for the League Cup and Referees Cup, the initial rounds shall exclude the member teams of the newly formed First division for the current season, who enter the competition at the 1/8 final stage (last 16). When conducting the draw, the FIRST drawn of each pair shall be considered as the HOME Team inclusive of semi-finals.

(ii) When conducting the draw for the Mayors Cup and Dick Hopkins Memorial Cup, the FIRST drawn of each pair shall be considered as the HOME Team inclusive of semi-finals.
First Division Clubs shall NOT qualify for these two Competitions.

Match Officials appointed shall be entitled to charge match fees as Rule 13 (E) para 2, and shall be shared equally between the Home and Away team. The Home team shall be responsible for payment to Officials. Failure to do so shall incur a fine not exceeding £10.00.

The Management Committee shall present a total of sixteen (16) medals, plaques or other suitable mementos to the players of the Winners or Runners up in each age group and Division of the League and shall present a total of sixteen (16) medals, plaques or other suitable mementos to the players of the Winners or Runners up in Knock-out Competitions organised by the League. The Rules relating to the award of extra medals are contained in regulation 4/64 of the Berks & Bucks Football Association.

Only players (or named substitutes) who played in the final match of the Competition shall be entitled to an award.
A player sent off in the final match shall have his medal withheld and it shall be the responsibility of his Club to appeal to the League Management Committee for it to be awarded.

SUBSTITUTES

Where the rules of a cup Competition permit the use of substitute players the following conditions shall apply for awards to substitute players.

CUP COMPETITIONS

Providing the substitute players are named prior the commencement and are in attendance at the final match, they shall qualify for an award.
Any player registered with a team shall be eligible to compete in any round of a League Cup, Referees Cup, Mayors Cup or Memorial Cup Competition into which that team has been entered. A player not Registered with his Club by midnight four (4) weeks prior, shall not be eligible to compete in a semi-final or final match, subject to transfer and Registration deadline, Rule 8(J).

Teams contesting the semi-final shall submit, to the Registration Secretary, a list of players from whom their team for the appropriate semi-final will be selected, together with team colours no later than 7 days PRIOR to the match. IN THE CASE OF THE FINAL, 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE MATCH.

Should, at the end of normal time in the League Cup, Referees Cup, Mayors Cup or Memorial Cup competition the score is level, extra time of twenty (20) minutes, ten (10) minutes each half shall be played. Should the match remain undecided after the period of extra time, the winners shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the International Board Decisions contained within the laws of the game.
The Management Committee shall be empowered to promote a Supplementary competition if circumstances permit, subject Berks & Bucks Football Association permission.
