Double header matches

Arrangments for two clubs to play both their Home and Away matches on the same day

Because of the backlog of fixtures due to bad weather earlier in the season the League Committee has agreed to double headers being played, i.e. Two (2) separate matches. There should be a reasonable break between each match. There is maximum number of minutes per day allowed in this Competition : -

  • In the under 11's to under 14's inclusive, two matches of 40 minutes each (20 minutes each half) total 80 minutes per day.
  • In the under 15's and 16's two matches of 50 minutes each (25 minutes each half) total 100 minutes per day.

There should be two separate match result cards (one for each match). The match result cards should state that they are double headers and either number them 1 and 2 or A and B.

Once a double-header has been agreed an e-mail to the Fixtures Secretary is required

For technical reasons, the online League Tables cannot have a team playing twice on the same day and so they will show one match on the day it was played and the other match on an adjacent date. This will not affect the points situation.
