Refereeing

Thinking of becoming a FA registered referee? There are four local courses to choose from with start dates as follows:

  • Broomwade Sports & Social Club, High Wycombe (starts Tuesday 11th March 2008)
  • John Mason School, Abingdon (starts Wednesday 26th March 2008)
  • The Park, Wexham Road, Slough (starts Tuesday 22nd April 2008)
  • Broomwade Sports & Social Club, High Wycombe (starts Tuesday 8th July 2008)

Refereeing notices

  • In all cup competitions, half of the fee must be paid by each side. However, it is the responsibility of the home side to pay the referee prior to the game and recoup the cost from the opposition either at that time or after the game.
  • Referee rules in the Constitution (includes payments for Referees and Assisistants)
  • FA Head of Refereeing clarifies application of offside
  • The book "Laws of Association Football" is a must for anyone who needs to clarify the laws of the game. It can be found on the F.A website.
