About the League

• Over 9,000 boys have played in this League since it was founded under its former name "Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League"
• Following sponsorship by the Newsquest group of newspapers, the league has been known as the Bucks Free Press Junior Football League since September 2007.
• We are affiliated to Berks and Bucks FA
• The League covers an area fifteen miles from Prestwood in Buckinghamshire, England.

2nd June 2009 -- Proposed Awarded matches up to and including Sunday 31st May have now been added to the League tables to conclude the season.

24th May 2009 -- Results of matches Week commencing 18th May and Sunday 24th May

21st May 2009 -- Awarded matches up to and including Sunday 26th April are now accounted for in the League tables.

17th May 2009 --

• The League Treasurer plans to step down and so we are looking for a new Treasurer
• A first-aid course has been arranged for Monday 6th July in High Wycombe.

12th May 2009 --

• Under 15 Div 5 Subsidiary Cup update
• Club Welfare Officer Workshop courses being run by BBFA

11th May 2009 --

• Wendover Juniors take the Under 11 Geoff Springell Memorial Cup
• Penn & Tylers Green win Under 12 League Cup
• Harefield United win their third prize - the U12 Mayors Cup
• Hughenden Valley win Under 14 League Cup after extra time and penalties

4th May 2009 --

• Harefield United win the U13 and U16 League Cups
• Aylesbury Town take the U15 Referees Cup
• Following an appeal by Loudwater to County FA, the January Loudwater v Flackwell Heath Minors U14 match previously awarded, will now be played.

2nd May -- Awarded matches up to and including Sunday 5th April are now accounted for in the League tables.

29th April 2009 --

• U11 Division 4 Runners Up position will be decided by a play off match between Chalfont Wasps v Wendover Junior Colts.
• Player Registration form for 2009/10 season is now on this website

27th April 2009 --

• Chalfont St Peter lift the U15 League Cup
• Gerrards Cross win the U13 Dick Hopkins Cup
• Prestwood Colts win U11 League Cup

22nd April -- Awarded matches from February and March are now included in the League tables

21st April -- Thame Boys under 15 have withdrawn from division 2 and so the League table has been adjusted.

18th April -- Additional awarded U16 Div 3 match from 16th November

15th April 2009 -- The League Committee has agreed to double headers being played to clear the backlog of games caused by bad weather over the winter. Click here for guidance and rules for these fixtures and on mid week fixtures.

8th March -- January's awarded matches are now included in the League tables

25th January -- December's awarded matches are now included in the League tables - affecting U11 Division 4, U14 Division 2 and U14 Division 1.

11th January -- League Tables have been adjusted due teams being re-admitted and withdrawing : -

• Flackwell Heath Scorpions (Under 15 Division 1) withdrew from the League over the weekend
• Bedgrove Athletic (Under 14 Division 1) withdrew from the League prior to Christmas
• Gerrards Cross & Fulmer Under 16 which folded in the Autumn has reformed, and the League has agreed to admit them back into U16 Division 3.

3rd January 2009 --

• November's awarded matches are now included in the League tables
• U15 Division 1 League Table has been updated following the withdrawal of Loudwater FC

12th December 2008 -- BBFA website is advertising Level one training courses in Reading, and Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses at Wye Valley.

24th November -- September and October awarded matches are now included in the League tables.

9th November - U16 Division 3 League Table has been updated following the withdrawal of Gerrards Cross & Fulmer

10th October 2008 --

• Lane End Lions have now been put into U15 Dvision 1 from Dvision 4
• Chalfont St Peter U12 withdraw from Division 2

27th September - Stokenchurch Juniors Under 15 have withdrawn

11th September -- Two withdrawals : -

• Chiltern Athletic U15 in Division 5
• Widmer End United U12 in Division 5

7th September 2008 --

• Constitution showing which teams play in which divisions this season
• Online forms on this site (including Abandonment and Postponement) have been updated to support new clubs that joined the League this season.
